i have really enjoyed the classic matches on tennis channel. I too get frustrated at seeing the same matches. Two of my favorite players in the 70's were Raul Ramirez and Adriano Pannata. Is it possible to show any of their matches. The 78 US Open semi with Conners comes to mind. Thanks.

I wonder if older matches are considered public domain material. It'd be great to see Laver, Newcombe, Rosewall, Smith, Gonzalez, etc. Don't know if really old matches (Budge, Tilden, Riggs) exist at all. Those would be interesting.....I also appreciate the table tennis coverage. It certainly beats re-re-re-repeats of tennis matches or other programs.....-Tallguy

Hi,..these matches are great..Could you show the semifinal Borg-Panatta? It was a very close and exciting match, and Panatta was a great classic player to watch..not many of this type nowadays.. Or maybe Connors-Panatta in 1978 at Flushing Meadows.. that was a great one too..

Well I love the TC, but I would have to agree with many others and say... Why Do you play the same matches over and over. for instance I have seen the Wimbledon ladies final more times than I care to for sure, and that is saying it in a nice way... also many times The TC plays the same match back to back, don't mind me but I think this is odd, in a day in age with the satellite technology we have to record live tv... Please play other clasics, what about Justine Henin, Jennifer Capriati, Tim Henman, Pete Sampras, Steffi Graff... I could go on and on. There are many good things about the TC. But things need to change... Thanks for listing.

While I agree that there are countless amounts of classic tennis matches to be shown, I am also grateful that Tennis Channel is providing its younger audience with classics. ....I too pay a higher price to receive Tennis Channel. I know that Tennis Channel is still a relatively new network that is trying to build an audience. Tennis Channel cannot just show any match it wants to; it has to pay $$$ to whoever had the original rights. ....While they may not show as many classics as I would like, Tennis Channel has done a good job of showing us classics matches leading up to every tournament they cover. If I remember correctly, they showed several classics before the Australian, French and Wimbledon. ....Do I expect more in 2009? Absolutely. ....Now that Tennis Channel has rights to every slam, I'm sure they will be showing us some of the greatest matches that took place under the lights in New York. ....Thank you, Tennis Channel!
